Dr. Leonel Fernández Reyna: The Proven Capabilities, abilities and Skills of a President (2 of 3)

Not everyone can be the president of a country, even if it is a small country like the Dominican Republic. In fact, in today's world, it is preferable that whoever becomes president of a country has a level of Statesman not merely a president by election of votes cast at the polls. 

In the Dominican Republic since its birth as a nation presidents with the status of statesman can be counted on the fingers of one hand and there are plenty of fingers to count. No Dominican "with three fingers of a forehead" as my grandmother used to say, doubts that Dr. Fernández possesses all the qualities of a statesman. He is a statesman in terms of intellectual and political leadership. 

But a ruler or president of a country cannot govern it alone. The president of a country needs a team of specialists in various areas to be able to govern efficiently and effectively. The people on his team have to be capable, ethical and with a patriotic vision of the nation. The team with which a ruler or president governs a country determines both the efficiency and effectiveness of a government. The state of a nation is a very complex socio-economic and cultural entity. A capable team is absolutely necessary to govern it.

Dr. Fernández made three excellent governments. He fully demonstrated his abilities, capabilities and skills as a ruler or president. The facts and tangible realities of his governments are visible throughout the geography of the Dominican Republic. He gave a legal structure to the nation which is a fundamental key to a representative democracy. He modernized goverment making it more transparent to society. He expanded the education systems at both college and lower grade school levels. He modernized transportation by building highways to connect the different cities of the country including building a subway in the capital.

But my thesis in these short writings is that part of the team with which Dr. Fernández governed were mediocre, treacherous and deceitful people. I Will give you one example. Who was his Secretary of the Presidency (now Minister of the Presidency)? This position is central to the team of a ruler or president! Who occupied that position in at least two of his government? Wasn't it the same person within the old party that has sown and disseminated all kinds of lies and fallacies against Dr. Fernández and his governments?

When Dr. Fernández publishes his memoirs, I want to be physically alive to read what he will say about all those traitors and stubborn liars who were an essential part of his three governments! Where are the majority of them today? Do not most of them continue to propagate, sponsor and disseminate fallacies and lies against Dr. Fernández and his governments? 

Dr. Fernández trusted his "party partners" who had received the teachings in words and in a model of life directly from the Master, Professor Bosch. And a large number of them betrayed both Professor Bosch and Dr. Fernández. In English it is said that these people "made # 2 in his governments" particularly his last two governments. 

A part of the team with which Dr. Fernández ruled are and continue to be traitors, slanderers and disseminators of fallacies against him. These people were already traitors to Dr. Fernández at the time they were important part of his precidency and government.

We, pueblistas, have to be aware of this reality and learn to counter it with courage and intelligence. these people poisoned the minds of a large portion of the pipulation against Dr. Fernández. They are betrayers and traitors and we have to treat them as so.

Dr. Fernández has already learned his lesson. And that's why he founded the FP party. It is the FP party responsability to vindicate our founder and leader, Dr. Fernández.

We are mandated and addressed to accomplish this task with LOVE, courage and firm determination and motivation.

Dr. Leonel Fernández Reyna will be president of the Dominican Republic for the fourth time.
