In fact, in today's world, it is preferable that whoever becomes president of a country has a level of Statesman not merely a president by election of votes cast at the polls. In the Dominican Republic since its birth as a nation presidents with the status of statesman can be counted on the fingers of one hand and there are plenty of fingers to count.
